IQHome smart-home services platform
An Arabic-first Django platform for users, devices and smart-home services, with notifications, support requests and a project portfolio.
The problem
Smart-home services need a shared place for device records, customers, service requests and Arabic-language support.
Solution and data flow
The platform separates accounts, company content, devices, services, notifications and support into applications. Device records link owners, locations, types and status; a separate time-series model stores timestamped readings and units.
Implementation and challenges
The interface includes content management, project presentation and user pages. Organizing permissions and device relationships alongside RTL presentation is the main challenge. Device models and management pages do not establish field-tested compatibility with every device type.
Skills developed
Django and data modeling, REST interfaces, user management, device records, Arabic localization and integrated service/support workflows.
