EX DEVICES engineering business ERP
A PySide6 desktop application for equipment inventory, sales, engineering services, quotations and rentals, backed by SQLite.
The problem
Equipment, customer, sales and quotation records become difficult to follow when they are spread across separate tools.
Solution and data flow
The application brings together inventory, point of sale, customers, expenses, accounting, quotations, tenders, services and rentals. SQLite stores items, invoices and their lines, quotations and rental contracts, with separate views for each workflow.
Implementation and challenges
Supporting utilities generate PDFs and handle currency presentation, discounts and backups. Keeping documents, stock and financial operations consistent across views is the integration challenge. The portfolio describes software functions, not accounting certification or equipment conformity approval.
Skills developed
Relational data modeling, Qt desktop development, business workflow modeling, document generation, separation of views and data, and backup handling.
