Creep test measurement and analysis
A laboratory application that records displacement during creep tests, filters the signal and plots live measurements with CSV logging and PDF reports.

The problem
Creep tests require a traceable record of small displacement changes over time rather than intermittent manual readings.
Solution and data flow
A Raspberry Pi reads a KTC-50 displacement sensor through an ADS1115 ADC over I²C. A background worker samples the signal and applies median, Kalman, EMA and dead-band filtering before updating the PyQt6 interface and PyQtGraph plots.
Implementation and challenges
The application provides specimen dimensions, calibration, zeroing, recording controls, CSV and test metadata storage, and PDF reporting. A separate simulation mode supports use without hardware. The engineering challenge is suppressing noise without hiding displacement changes; configurable filter settings are not a claim of certified measurement accuracy.
Skills developed
I²C data acquisition, measurement calibration, digital signal processing, threaded hardware integration, time-series plotting and reproducible test reporting.
